Garcia Peoples: Live at Back to Buddha Nature

As part of our continued efforts to provide a balm for Quarantine Days, here—at long last—is a recording of Back to Buddha Nature, our Spring Happening featuring Garcia Peoples as the Happening House Band.

BtBN, which took place on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Magick City in Greenpoint, was the first of our immersive, avant-garde Happenings.

The evening featured two hours of fully-improvised GP transmissions, including the mythical “Departure Jam”—aided and abetted by Prankster Disrupter Jesse Jarnow. All sounds taped & processed by Baked Tapes.

Like many artists, Garcia Peoples have seen their income severely impacted due to COVID-19. All scheduled shows have been cancelled, including a headlining West Coast tour.
