• 3 sets of IMPROVISATIONAL LIVE MUSIC

• PURIFICATION of the CHAKRAS

• Atonal CHAOS

• ANALOG LIGHT performance

• Visionary BUDDHIST MEDITATION & RITUAL

• SOUNDscapes

• DIGITAL DHARMA

• As well as a host of playful SPIRITUAL ACTIVITIES

PARTICIPATION is an assumed part of the experience.

BRING instruments, gadgets, mantras, zone shifters, drone generators, space-time flangers, whipplecyclotrons, found sounds, and/or a meditation cushion.

We invite you to also bring photos of personal saints and gurus and heroes of the underground. Bring flowers flags, incense, chimes, gongs, cymbals, symbols, costumes, joy. And don’t forget your dancing shoes!

Magick City is 1000 sq.ft. of acoustically luscious performance space for live music, art happenings, flavor raves, and be-ins.

"The general tone of things has moved on from the self-conscious happening to a more JUBILANT occasion where the AUDIENCE PARTICIPATES because it’s more fun to do so than not. maybe this is the ROCK REVOLUTION. audience DANCING is an assumed part of all the shows, & the audience is invited to wear ECSTATIC DRESS & bring their own GADGETS (a.c. outlets will be provided)."

– Flier for The Trips Festival 1966

"Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it’s a feather bed."

– Terence McKenna

"The union of wisdom and emptiness is the essence of Buddha-hood or what is called Buddha-nature (Skt. Tathagata-garbha) because it contains the very seed, the potential of Buddhahood. It resides in each and every being and because of this essential nature, this heart nature, there is the possibility of reaching Buddhahood."

– Thrangu Rinpoche

"Those who have completed an extensive retreat of Vajrasattva purification testify from their own experience that their perception of the phenomenal world undergoes a profound change. It is not that the world itself has been transformed but that the meditator’s view of it has been purified. It is as if the doors of perception have been opened wider and subtly obscuring curtains have been drawn back from the windows of the mind. Beings and phenomena take on a pure appearance—a reflection of the practitioner’s own newly revealed purity—and the gravitational field keeping us anchored in ordinary mundane reality is relaxed. Although this exhilarating vision of a world filled with infinite possibilities may fade, it provides a great incentive for pursuing the higher practices and a conviction that full enlightenment, though still a distant goal, is actually attainable."
